Officials from the Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Department of Balkh say that nearly 230 jareeb of land in the province have been allocated for the establishment of new orchards this solar year. According to them, this initiative is part of development and orchard strengthening programs implemented across the province.<\/p>\n
Officials add that simultaneously, a government orchard covering an area of 300 hectares has also been established. Approximately 150,000 saplings of various species have been naturally planted in this orchard.<\/p>\n
According to Balkh\u2019s Agriculture Department, expanding orchards is a key priority for the agricultural sector in the province, with ongoing efforts to bring more areas under fruit orchard cultivation.
