According to the commission&#8217;s statement, the majority of the returnees, totaling 772 families, crossed through the Torkham border in Nangarhar province.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, 9 families entered through the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar province, 47 families through the Wareeshum route in Nimroz, and 40 families through Islam Qala in Herat province. These border crossings are among the main transit points for Afghan migrants between Afghanistan and neighboring countries.<\/p>\n<p>The statement also noted that on the same day, assistance was provided to 932 families at Torkham, 21 families at Spin Boldak, another 23 families at Torkham, 40 families in Herat, 8 families in Nimroz, and 291 families in Kabul.<\/p>\n<p>According to published data, a total of 1,847 migrants and 920 passengers returned to the country via Nimroz. Returnee families were provided with registration services, transportation, cash assistance, and temporary shelter. They also received awareness raising on issues related to migration, patience and tolerance, education, and other topics. Additionally, 230 SIM cards were distributed among them.<\/p>\n<p>With the increasing trend of migrants returning, the need for sustainable programs such as employment, housing, and access to essential services within the country is becoming more pressing.
