China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson reacted to the meeting of the foreign ministers of the United States, India, Japan, and Australia under the Quad framework, stating that these collaborations should not be aimed against third countries and must serve regional peace and stability.<\/p>\n
Mao Ning reiterated Beijing’s official position, emphasizing that cooperation among countries should contribute to regional prosperity rather than fostering bloc competition. He added that China does not support the creation of exclusive groups or collective confrontations.<\/p>\n
According to him, any cooperation mechanism should strengthen mutual trust and prevent the weakening of relations among regional countries.<\/p>\n
The foreign ministers’ meeting of the four Quad member countries was held on Tuesday in India. At this meeting, the parties agreed on jointly constructing a port in Fiji, and memorandums of understanding were signed in the sectors of strategic minerals and energy security.<\/p>\n
