The Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Kabul visited Afghanistan’s National Archives, touring various sections of the institution and emphasizing his country’s willingness to collaborate on the restoration of manuscripts and historical documents.<\/p>\n
According to a press release received by Bakhtar News Agency, Dr. Mirdaf Al-Qashouti met with Qari Obaidullah Hanif, the head of the National Archives. Hanif, who leads the Archives under the Ministry of Information and Culture of the Taliban administration, provided information on the historical value and antiquity of the manuscripts.<\/p>\n
He stated that the National Archives is one of the country’s rich institutions in terms of historical documents, manuscripts, and antiquities, but many of these artifacts require restoration and repair. According to him, the institution has sought cooperation from both domestic and international organizations in the preservation and rehabilitation of this cultural heritage.<\/p>\n
The Qatari ambassador, in response, declared his country’s readiness to cooperate in the restoration of manuscripts and preservation of historical documents.<\/p>\n
