India’s representative to the United Nations stated that the international community has not forgotten Pakistan’s deadly airstrike on a drug rehabilitation center in Kabul during this year’s Ramadan. He emphasized that the incident is recorded at the international level and continues to attract the attention of relevant organizations.<\/p>\n
Pravin Hariharan, citing statistics from the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), said that in the first three months of 2026 alone, at least 750 civilian casualties resulted from \u201ccross-border armed violence by Pakistani military forces.\u201d According to him, the majority of these casualties were caused by airstrikes.<\/p>\n
In part of his remarks at the UN meeting, he added that Pakistan has ignored the UN Secretary-General’s calls to adhere to international commitments regarding the protection of civilians. The Indian representative noted that preventing the forced return of Afghan refugees is among these commitments that must be respected.<\/p>\n
