According to this decision, the public-private partnership model has been discarded, and alternative contracts compliant with Sharia law have been adopted for these projects.

During this meeting, administrative reports related to this change were also reviewed and approved by the committee members. The mentioned commercial markets are planned to be built on land belonging to the municipalities of these two provinces.

Additionally, a proposal to build a recreational, sports, and commercial complex on land belonging to the Ministry of Defense in the Fifth District of Kabul city was discussed. This land is located in one of the relatively busy areas of the capital, and any change in its use could have urban and economic consequences.

According to the released statement, after discussion, this proposal was referred back to the Ministry of Defense to complete financial, technical, and economic evaluations, after which the final report will be submitted to the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee.

Although the Taliban administration speaks about advancing investment projects, detailed information regarding the new types of contracts, the scale of investment, and how the implementation process will be supervised has not been made public. This lack of transparency and accountability has long been a subject of criticism by experts concerning large-scale projects.

The Taliban approves new Sharia-compliant contracts for markets in Takhar and Sar-e Pol, with changes also proposed for a Kabul defense ministry site.

[7

post-13462","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business
["GET
