The General Directorate of Border Police under the Taliban administration has announced that in the past month, it has prevented the smuggling of alcoholic beverages, nearly 13,000 narcotic pills, and the illegal transfer of hundreds of thousands of US dollars at several key border crossings across the country.<\/p>\n
Abdul Rahman Rahimi, spokesperson for the directorate, told the Pajhwok news agency that these incidents took place at the Hairatan port in the north, Islam Qala in the west, and the port known as the Silk Road. Border police forces confiscated these shipments before any illegal entry or exit.<\/p>\n
According to him, in connection with these cases and other criminal incidents, 34 individuals have been arrested, and their files have been handed over to relevant authorities for legal proceedings.<\/p>\n
