Pakistan police reported that an explosion on Monday, May 18, in the city of Wana, the administrative center of South Waziristan, killed at least three people and injured four others. According to security officials, the blast occurred in Rustam Market and targeted Malik Tariq, a well-known leader of the Ahmadzai Wazir tribes, who was killed in the attack.<\/p>\n
Local police stated that the bomb detonated when the vehicle carrying Malik Tariq had stopped near a commercial complex. The explosion was so powerful that the vehicle was completely destroyed and nearby shops were also damaged.<\/p>\n
