Among those returning are some women, and efforts to facilitate the return of other figures continue.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmadullah Wathiq, the commission&#8217;s spokesperson, said their goal is for &#8220;every Afghan who left the country due to negative propaganda to come back and live in a safe environment.&#8221; He did not provide details about legal and security guarantees.<\/p>\n<p>However, several political experts emphasize that mere return of figures is not sufficient; their specialized capacities should be effectively utilized within government institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Following the Taliban\u2019s reestablishment of control over Afghanistan in 2021, many ordinary citizens as well as some former officials left the country. The Commission for Contact with Afghan Personalities was established on September 14, 2021, with the aim of connecting with figures residing abroad, reducing political tensions, and creating a basis for dialogue.
