Kirill Sapozhnikov, Deputy Director of the Department for Relations with Federal Units, Parliament, and Social Organizations at the Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasized in an interview with RIA Novosti that Moscow seeks to be not just a partner, but a trusted political ally for Islamic countries. He added that cooperation should be conducted on the basis of equal interaction and mutual understanding.<\/p>\n
