Another proposal, referred to as the “Bennett Law,” would require leaders of dissolved parties to settle their previous debts before receiving funding for a new party. Critics interpret this measure as targeting figures like Naftali Bennett and Yair Golan and view it as part of early electoral competition.<\/p>\n
There are also proposals to lower the voting age from 18 to 17, reduce the threshold for entering the Knesset, and increase police powers in cases related to “incitement to terrorism.” According to Haaretz, some critics have warned that these changes could affect the health and transparency of the election process.<\/p>\n
