The Ministry of Justice has announced that its acting head, during a meeting with officials from several private hospitals across the country, urged them to cooperate in treating indigent citizens. According to the ministry, the meeting emphasized the necessity of attending to patients who lack financial means.<\/p>\n
Barkatullah Rasouli, spokesperson for the Ministry of Justice, stated that the minister highlighted in this meeting that a large portion of Afghanistan’s population cannot afford medical expenses, and private hospitals must participate in providing care for poor patients.<\/p>\n
This request comes amid widespread complaints from residents about rising healthcare costs and limited access to medical services. Given the Taliban administration\u2019s responsibility to provide basic services, it is expected that, in addition to seeking cooperation from the private sector, the government establishes clear and sustainable mechanisms to support needy patients.<\/p>\n
