According to him, this figure shows a significant decline compared to last year.

Officials say that illegal hunting and overgrazing by livestock are the main factors seriously threatening the natural habitat of these animals. Environmental experts have repeatedly warned that the continuation of this situation could disrupt the ecological balance in Wakhan.

Faiz-ur-Rahman Ibrahimi, head of Badakhshan Environmental Protection, announced the creation of a joint committee to address environmental challenges and prevent illegal hunting. However, local residents emphasize that without effective monitoring and practical measures by the Taliban administration, preventing the destruction of protected areas and curbing illegal hunting will be difficult.

Wakhan National Park in northeastern Afghanistan is one of the most important habitats for rare wildlife species, and the decline in these animal populations could have long-term consequences for the country’s biodiversity.

Wakhan National Park in Afghanistan sees a 38% decline in Nubian ibex and Marco Polo sheep due to illegal hunting and overgrazing.

[17,8

post-12868","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-social-affairs
["GET
