Pakistani media have reported that delays in trade with Afghanistan and the closure of certain trade routes have posed serious challenges to the country’s mango exports. According to the newspaper Dawn, this situation, alongside rising transportation costs, has placed significant pressure on exporters.<\/p>\n
Based on these reports, Pakistan’s mango production, which in recent years reached around 1.8 million tons, is expected to decline to 1.5 million tons this year\u2014a drop of nearly 20 percent. These media outlets had previously reported that following the halt of cotton exports from Afghanistan to Pakistan, the country’s textile factories face risks of recession and even collapse.
