He emphasized that after nearly five years of Taliban rule, the country has faced systematic destruction of citizens\u2019 fundamental rights and freedoms.<\/p>\n
The meeting, held on Monday, May 10, under the title \u201cIn Search of Justice, Truth-Seeking, and Reconciliation: Foundations for Reviving the Rule of Law in Afghanistan,\u201d featured Amer\u2019s speech highlighting pervasive human rights abuses, unaddressed collective demands of the people, and the expansion of lawlessness as the most serious challenges currently facing Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
According to him, the continuation of this situation not only deepens the crisis of legitimacy and the rule of law but also paves the way for the systematic elimination of fundamental rights, especially those of women and girls. He stressed that the international community\u2019s disregard for this trend could solidify injustice and further weaken the rule of law.<\/p>\n
The Chairman of the Network of Democratic and Civil Forces of Afghanistan added that the meetings held in Geneva and other venues were not merely symbolic but part of a purposeful process aimed at drafting a shared vision regarding accountability, the constitution, human rights, and the non-negotiable rights of women and girls.<\/p>\n
