Four young women in Kabul have launched an online platform called “Qasid” that provides bus ticket sales and delivery services specifically for female customers. According to them, the initiative operates in compliance with religious dress codes and within segregated workspaces.<\/p>\n
According to information provided by the team members, “Qasid” is a logistics and postal delivery application created a year ago by four women and four men. Through this app, women can reserve bus tickets online and have them delivered to their doorstep, reducing the need to visit bus terminals in person.<\/p>\n
Tamana Mohammadi, a member of the team, says she is responsible for delivering tickets to female customers. She adds that in areas near Kabul such as Kote Sangi, Pul-e-Hawayee, and Pul-e-Sorkh, she delivers three to four tickets daily. Ticket delivery to male customers is handled by male colleagues.<\/p>\n
Mohammadi notes that despite the existing restrictions on women\u2019s work in the country, they have endeavored to align their activities within the regulations announced by the Taliban administration. She adds that the public response has been positive, with many residents welcoming the presence of women in the online services sector.<\/p>\n
Sadaf Afghan, the head of the women\u2019s section of the platform, explains that “Qasid” operates via a website and a mobile app, created with the goal of simplifying travel and advancing the digitalization of services. She emphasizes that the platform can reduce extra travel costs and save time for users.<\/p>\n
According to her, the “Qasid” team currently has eight members, evenly split between women and men, working in separate environments.
