Russian state-owned company Rosatom has announced that the seventh unit of the Tianwan nuclear power plant in China is entering the physical start-up phase. According to officials from Rosatom, this phase will commence as scheduled in May.<\/p>\n
Alexey Likhachev, head of Rosatom, stated that the progress of this joint project between Russia and China is proceeding according to the planned timeline, and preparations for beginning physical operations have been completed. The physical start-up phase at nuclear power plants typically involves equipment testing and system preparations prior to the official start of energy production.<\/p>\n
He also announced that a new meeting between Russian delegations and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is planned to take place on Russian soil in the first half of July. The purpose of these consultations is to review matters related to nuclear cooperation.<\/p>\n
The Tianwan nuclear power plant is located in eastern China and is considered one of the significant joint projects between Moscow and Beijing.
