Bakhtar News Agency announced on Sunday, May 10, that these individuals arrived in Afghanistan as part of 774 families.

According to the report, just two days prior, over 800 other families had returned to the country; a trend indicating continued large-scale returns in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, the United Nations has stated that only 11 percent of returnees are employed, raising concerns about these families’ access to job opportunities and livelihoods. Given the unemployment crisis and economic constraints in the country, reintegrating these individuals into society faces significant challenges.

The UN also reported that in 2025, approximately 2.8 million Afghan migrants returned to Afghanistan from Iran and Pakistan. The UN’s Refugee Agency added that the return of nearly three million migrants last year increased the country’s population by about 10 percent; an increase that international organizations believe requires effective planning and practical responses from the Taliban administration to provide essential services across various regions.

Over 4,000 Afghan migrants returned in one day amid UN warnings on low employment and challenges in reintegration during rising population growth.

[17,2,16

post-12623","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-migrant-news","category-secondary-headline
["GET
