As the Labour candidate for the East Acton ward, she secured the seat with 1,207 votes.

Shehira Karimi, also from the Labour Party, was elected to the Ealing Council representing the Pitshanger ward, which is part of West London.

Meanwhile, Abdul Bastani won a seat in the Glasgow City Council elections in Scotland, and Peyman Asad secured voter trust for the third time in one of the London wards.

After the results were announced, Peyman Asad posted on his X page that during the campaign he faced accusations and threats. According to him, some questioned whether he was a “real Muslim,” called him a “Zionist” because of his support for a two-state solution, and referred to him as a “Taliban” due to his Pashtun father from southern Afghanistan. He also reported receiving death threats over his foreign policy stances.

Asad emphasized that hatred can be overcome and that one can remain true to one’s roots and mother tongues while choosing politics based on solidarity over division, ultimately succeeding.
