These incidents have occurred across various areas of the province and remain a serious threat to local residents.<\/p>\n<p>Abdulfattah Faiz, speaking to the media, added that recently 11 landmines were discovered and defused in different parts of Kapisa. According to him, these mines were identified and neutralized by security forces before any explosion could occur.<\/p>\n<p>Landmines and unexploded ordnance from past wars continue to claim victims in many provinces of Afghanistan, with children and civilians making up the majority of those affected.
