According to the administration, the majority of these returns occurred via the Torkham border in Nangarhar province.

Hamdullah Fetrat, deputy spokesperson for the Taliban administration, stated in a press release on Thursday, 17th of Sawr, that 759 families entered Afghanistan solely through the Torkham crossing. Additionally, 115 families returned via the Spin Boldak border in Kandahar province, 46 families from the Nimroz border, 33 families from the Islam Qala border in Herat, and two families from the Bahramcha border in Helmand.

In recent months, the forced expulsion and return of Afghan migrants from neighboring countries have increased. This trend has placed additional pressure on families, many of whom, after years of living outside the country, are now returning to Afghanistan empty-handed.

A number of returnees face serious challenges, including severe economic difficulties, lack of shelter, and insufficient basic living facilities. International organizations have warned that the rising wave of returns, amid the absence of a coordinated support program by the Taliban administration, could exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in the country.

Taliban reports 955 Afghan families, over 5,000 individuals, returned in one day amid growing economic and humanitarian challenges.

[17,2,16

post-12416","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-migrant-news","category-secondary-headline
["GET
