A special unit dedicated to treating child malnutrition has been inaugurated at the Turghondi Health Center in Herat province. This unit was established with financial support from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and aims to provide specialized care for children suffering from malnutrition.<\/p>\n
Sharafat Zaman Amarkhil, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Public Health, stated that the creation of this unit is an important step towards reducing child mortality rates and improving their nutritional status. He added that the facilities provided in this unit could enhance the quality of healthcare services in the area.<\/p>\n
Malnutrition is one of the serious challenges in Afghanistan’s public health sector, and children in remote regions are at greater risk. Establishing such units in local health centers can facilitate easier access for families to specialized medical treatments.<\/p>\n
