This was raised during Kaya Kallas&#8217;s meeting with Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, in Baku, where bilateral cooperation and regional developments were also discussed.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Kallas posted on the social media platform X that Azerbaijan is considered a &#8220;valuable and reliable&#8221; partner for the EU in the energy sector. She described her meetings with President Ilham Aliyev and Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan\u2019s Foreign Minister, as constructive.<\/p>\n<p>According to the EU&#8217;s foreign policy chief, there are clear opportunities to expand cooperation in trade, transportation, and digital technology between the two sides. She emphasized that Brussels is keen to pursue this collaboration within a more organized and long-term framework.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting also included discussions on the Russia-Ukraine war and the latest developments in the Middle East.
