They claim the ruling was issued without thorough examination of ownership documents and without providing sufficient opportunity for defense.

According to the protesters, a case filed by the Taliban Ministry of Justice was reviewed in court; however, the presiding judge did not grant the residents adequate time to present their defense. They consider this process a clear violation of due process principles and emphasize that under such conditions, a fair decision cannot be expected.

The residents note that thousands of homes have been built on the disputed land, and following the court ruling, new claims have emerged regarding ownership of these homes, generating widespread social and economic concerns among families.

Initially, the judge deemed the case admissible, but later reversed the decision, dismissing the case on the grounds that the Taliban administration holds possession over these lands. Protesters describe this rationale as illegitimate and contrary to legal principles, calling for a transparent and renewed review of the case based on legal standards.

Earlier, the Taliban Ministry of Justice announced that, after evaluation, the Special Land Restitution and Anti-Usurpation Court declared approximately 12,500 acres in the Ismail Khel and Manduzi districts as state property. Nevertheless, local residents say they do not consider the decision legitimate until their documents and defenses are fully and impartially reviewed.

Khost residents protest Taliban court ruling seizing 12,500 acres, citing lack of due process and raising social and economic concerns.

[17,8,3

post-12186","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-social-affairs","category-top-news
["GET
