Russia’s Security Council has warned that following Finland’s accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the frequency and scale of military exercises on Finnish soil, particularly near the Russian border, have increased significantly.<\/p>\n
According to the RIA Novosti news agency, the council released a statement on Monday highlighting that Finland’s NATO membership has led to an expansion of military activities close to Russia’s borders. The statement emphasized a marked rise in military drills across various parts of Finland, including border areas adjacent to Russia.<\/p>\n
The Security Council also referenced declarations from Helsinki officials about several upcoming exercises scheduled for this month. It added that certain combat positions and fortifications established after these drills are expected to remain in place.<\/p>\n
