He made these remarks on Monday, May 3, on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day.<\/p>\n<p>Khabib Ghafoor stated that media outlets should consider the &#8220;relationship between the people and the administration&#8221; in their broadcasts. He emphasized that the ministry officials are working to facilitate easier and more professional access to information throughout the country so that the media can better fulfill their role.<\/p>\n<p>World Press Freedom Day is being observed amid reports of extensive restrictions on media activities across various parts of the country since the Taliban returned to power. Several journalists have complained about pressure, censorship, and limited access to information\u2014issues that have consistently drawn responses from organizations supporting freedom of expression.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Taliban&#8217;s Ministry of Information and Culture says it is working to better regulate media affairs and facilitate access to information nationwide.
