According to the commission\u2019s official newsletter, these families crossed into Afghanistan via the Torkham, Spin Boldak, Wareeshmo, Bahramcha, and Islam Qala border crossings.<\/p>\n<p>Detailed figures show that 705 families entered through Torkham in Nangarhar province, 94 families through Spin Boldak in Kandahar, 67 families via Wareeshmo in Nimroz, 2 families through Bahramcha in Helmand, and 11 families via Islam Qala in Herat.<\/p>\n<p>The commission also reported that on the same day, aid was provided to 718 families in Torkham, 36 families in Spin Boldak, 11 families in Herat, 1 family in Nimroz, 3 families in Bahramcha, and 139 families in Kabul.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, a total of 4,617 migrants returned to the country on this day, in addition to 1,147 travelers who entered Afghanistan through the Nimroz crossing.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission for Addressing Migrant Issues further stated that returning families received registration and transfer services, cash assistance, and short-term shelter. Awareness programs covering migration, patience and tolerance, education, and issues related to the governing system were also provided. Additionally, 836 SIM cards were distributed among returnees as part of this process.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the announcement of these statistics, specific details about the exact amounts of cash assistance and how the long-term needs of these families are being addressed have not been disclosed.
