The accident occurred in the Kasham district. Ehsanullah Kamgar, spokesperson for Badakhshan Police Command, stated that the incident happened in the Zamanabad area of Atn Julo as a result of a collision between a Land Cruiser and a cargo truck. According to him, five people, including two women and one child, lost their lives, and 11 others, including one woman and four children, were injured. Mawlawi Sirajuddin Mutawakel, police chief of Kasham district, said the injured were transported with the assistance of police personnel to the Kunduz regional hospital. Officials cited driver negligence as the cause of the accident.
