During the meeting, they discussed broadening cooperation in the electricity sector and technical fields.<\/p>\n<p>The Russian Deputy Minister reaffirmed his country&#8217;s commitment to working with Afghanistan in the energy sector, stating that the development of energy and economic ties with Afghanistan remains a consistent agenda item and that efforts in this area continue steadily.<\/p>\n<p>The statement further noted that Afghan officials deemed the development of energy and technical sector relations important alongside trade cooperation and expressed gratitude for Russia&#8217;s readiness to collaborate.<\/p>\n<p>This meeting comes amid the Taliban administration\u2019s efforts in recent years to address some of Afghanistan\u2019s infrastructural challenges through economic and energy cooperation with regional countries.
