The CEO of Afghanistan’s Barisha Company met with Russia’s Deputy Minister of Energy to discuss the expansion of bilateral energy cooperation between Afghanistan and Russia. According to a statement from Barisha Company, Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, accompanied by Maulvi Gul Hassan Hasan, the Afghan ambassador to Russia, met with Vladimir Khazov, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Energy. During the meeting, they discussed broadening cooperation in the electricity sector and technical fields.<\/p>\n
The Russian Deputy Minister reaffirmed his country’s commitment to working with Afghanistan in the energy sector, stating that the development of energy and economic ties with Afghanistan remains a consistent agenda item and that efforts in this area continue steadily.<\/p>\n
The statement further noted that Afghan officials deemed the development of energy and technical sector relations important alongside trade cooperation and expressed gratitude for Russia’s readiness to collaborate.<\/p>\n
