Bakhtar News Agency announced on Tuesday, April 26, that these individuals arrived in Afghanistan as part of over 730 families.

According to the report, the migration return process is ongoing. Just two days earlier, about 800 families had returned to the country, indicating an increase in the recent wave of returns.

Meanwhile, the United Nations has stated that only 11 percent of those returning have jobs, highlighting concerns about their livelihoods and access to employment opportunities.

The international organization also noted that in the year 2025, around 2.8 million Afghan migrants returned from Iran and Pakistan. The UN Refugee Agency added that with nearly three million people returning last year, Afghanistan’s population has increased by approximately 10 percent.

This significant rise in returnees is occurring while the Taliban administration has yet to present clear details regarding specific programs for integration, sustainable settlement, and job creation for these families.
