The Garmsir municipality in Helmand province announced the completion and inauguration of an 8-kilometer road in the Hazar Juft market area of the district. The project, which cost 7,827,760 Afghanis, was inaugurated in the presence of several Taliban administration officials.<\/p>\n
Mullah Mohammad Masoom Masoomi, the Taliban-appointed mayor of Garmsir, stated that with the completion of this road, the transportation difficulties faced by the residents, shopkeepers, and other merchants of Hazar Juft market have been reduced, facilitating easier movement.<\/p>\n
He added that the Garmsir municipality has similar reconstruction plans for the year 1405 (solar calendar), which are expected to be completed and utilized during the year using the same municipal budget.<\/p>\n
Helmand province, located in the south of the country, has been among the regions whose infrastructure has been damaged over recent years. Recently, local Taliban officials have reported the completion of several reconstruction projects in Garmsir and other districts of the province.
