Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, continued his visit to Islamabad with a meeting with Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, to discuss the latest developments related to the ceasefire and bilateral relations. In the meeting, both sides emphasized the continuation of cooperation and the strengthening of ties between Tehran and Islamabad.<\/p>\n
According to reports, the meeting was also attended by Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, during which political, economic, and regional cooperation, as well as international developments, were discussed. Officials from both countries stressed coordination at the level of multilateral organizations.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister of Pakistan, noting the determination of the leaders of both countries to expand relations, expressed hope that the process of enhancing cooperation would continue in line with the common interests of the two neighbors. He also emphasized ongoing bilateral coordination on regional issues.<\/p>\n
The Iranian Foreign Minister, referring to Tehran\u2019s neighborly policy, described Pakistan as having a special place in his country\u2019s foreign relations and appreciated the efforts of Pakistani officials in assisting with establishing a ceasefire and hosting negotiations. He outlined Iran’s official positions regarding recent developments and the issue of a complete end to the war.<\/p>\n
Araqchi also touched upon the situations in Palestine and Lebanon, expressing gratitude for Pakistan\u2019s supportive stance toward the Palestinian people and its emphasis on implementing the ceasefire understanding in Lebanon.<\/p>\n
