According to the organization, the aid covers communities affected by recent conflicts.

On Wednesday, 22nd April, the Red Cross stated that residents of these districts had been left without support for an extended period. This situation arose due to the closure of communication routes caused by military clashes between Taliban administration forces and Pakistani troops.

According to published reports, the aid provided includes food supplies and health services. Relief agencies have emphasized that continued safe access to these regions is vital to prevent the escalation of the humanitarian crisis.

Previously, the World Food Programme had also reported the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the people of Kamdish and Barg-e-Matal. However, recurring clashes and the lack of effective management to secure communication routes have raised concerns over sustained access for residents to essential services—an issue for which the Taliban administration, as the de facto authority in the area, is held directly responsible.

After six weeks of blockade, humanitarian aid has reached Nuristan’s Kamdish and Barg-e-Matal districts amid ongoing conflict and access challenges.

[17,5

post-11220","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-security-incidents
["GET
