Lebanon’s Ministry of Health has reported that as a result of Israeli attacks from March 2 to April 16, a total of 2,294 people have been killed and 7,544 others injured. This updated toll comes amid reports of continued assaults and destruction of residential areas in southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n
An Al Jazeera correspondent has reported that Israeli soldiers in the southern Lebanese city of Bint Jbeil have detonated several residential homes. According to local sources, this action is part of ongoing attacks that continue despite declarations of ceasefire.<\/p>\n
At the same time, an Israeli drone strike targeted the outskirts of the town of Qaaqaaiya al-Jisr in southern Lebanon. Lebanese sources said that two people were injured after a vehicle was hit near the Qaaqaaiya bridge.<\/p>\n
Israel’s Channel 12 also reported that areas south of the Litani River have been bombarded and buildings in the village of Deir Sirian in southern Lebanon have been destroyed.
