According to the UN’s 2025 results report for Afghanistan, these supports were implemented through programs related to small, medium, and micro enterprises (MSMEs), facilitating the continuation or expansion of women’s economic activities.<\/p>\n
This comes amid the return of Taliban rule, after which women have faced extensive restrictions in education, work, and social spheres, with many job opportunities closed to them. Under such circumstances, supporting women entrepreneurs remains one of the few remaining ways to preserve women’s economic presence in the country.<\/p>\n
Economic experts believe that empowering small and medium enterprises can play a significant role in improving family livelihoods and enhancing women’s self-sufficiency.
