He criticized the current media situation and emphasized that during what has been described as the &#8220;Pakistani aggression,&#8221; the media fully carried out their professional responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>Hujjatullah Mojaddedi made these remarks during the unveiling ceremony of the &#8220;Permahtak&#8221; website at the presidential palace. According to him, the recent media coverage demonstrated that despite restrictions, Afghan journalists remain committed to professional principles and national responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>He further stated that the existing facilities and resources for media activities are insufficient and that the Taliban administration must provide greater opportunities to promote and consolidate freedom of expression. Since the Taliban\u2019s return to power, many media organizations have reported increased restrictions, pressures, and a reduction in their operating scope.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the Independent Journalists\u2019 Union described the pardon of the four detained journalists as a &#8220;gesture of goodwill&#8221; towards the country\u2019s media community and stressed that such an action could help alleviate some of the concerns regarding the state of journalists.
