Following the targeted attack, UNICEF has suspended its operations in the affected area and called for an immediate investigation.

According to the international organization, the two drivers were targeted and killed on Friday morning on Al-Mansoura Street in Gaza City while delivering drinking water to Palestinian families. UNICEF stated that the incident has deeply outraged the organization.

UNICEF added that the area in question was the only accessible route for supplying water to Gaza residents. With the suspension of activities, the delivery of drinking water to families will face serious difficulties.

The agency emphasized that attacks against civilian staff and humanitarian workers violate fundamental principles of international humanitarian law and must be investigated promptly and transparently.
