This increase, combined with reduced healthcare facilities and limited access to medical centers, has heightened concerns over controlling the disease.

Additionally, cases of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever have risen by 59.5 percent compared to last month, with six reported deaths. This disease, which is transmitted through ticks and contact with animal blood, has spread in some provinces of the country in recent years.

Meanwhile, 2,395 new measles cases, along with 11 deaths, have been reported, marking an 8 percent decrease from the previous month. Nonetheless, health organizations emphasize that measles remains a serious threat to children in Afghanistan.

Severe watery diarrhea cases have also increased by 5.7 percent, with 6,308 cases and one death recorded. Health experts warn that reduced access to healthcare services and weaknesses in preventive programs could pose serious challenges to controlling infectious diseases. They stress the urgent need for a clear and responsive approach from the Taliban administration regarding the state of the country’s healthcare system.

WHO reports rising infectious diseases and reduced health services in Afghanistan, highlighting urgent challenges for disease control under the Taliban.

[9,17,16

post-10778","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-health","category-important-news","category-secondary-headline
["GET
