Muhammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, announced that in a meeting with Gilles Bertrand, the European Union’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, the political and security situation in the region was discussed.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, he wrote on his X page that both sides exchanged views on the current developments in Afghanistan and their impact on regional stability. According to him, issues related to security and the political situation were the main topics of the dialogue.<\/p>\n
The Pakistani Special Representative added that trade issues, regional connectivity, and the importance of coordinated interaction and joint cooperation were also raised during this meeting. Regional connectivity, as one of the ways to strengthen economic relations between countries, has in recent years become one of the key topics in discussions related to Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
