The Directorate of Information and Culture of Balkh province announced that senior officials from Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have reached an agreement to provide 24-hour services at Hairatan port. This decision aims to facilitate transit processes and improve transportation services.<\/p>\n
The meeting was led by Mohammad Yousuf Wafa, the governor of Balkh under the Taliban administration, and was attended by delegations from both countries, several traders, and transportation sector officials. The Afghan delegation was led by Mohammad Ishaq Sahebzada, Deputy Minister of Railways, while the Uzbek delegation was headed by the Deputy Director of the Railway Administration and the country’s Minister of Transport.<\/p>\n
According to the information provided, the main goal of the meeting was to increase the transfer of commercial goods and raw materials via the Hairatan railway and to explore ways to enhance transportation services. Officials stated that the implementation of 24-hour services will provide greater convenience for traders and residents, along with improved access to laboratory and transportation services.<\/p>\n
