The King Salman Charity Foundation of Saudi Arabia has distributed food packages to 2,000 needy families, internally displaced persons, and returnees in Kabul city. These aid packages were delivered in technical collaboration with the Tawhid Institute to families who, according to officials, are facing difficult living conditions.<\/p>\n
Mawlawi Shir Mohammad, Head of Return and Integration at the Kabul Provincial Refugees Directorate, stated that each aid package contains a sack of flour, a bottle of oil, five kilograms of rice, five kilograms of sugar, and five kilograms of beans. He emphasized that a large portion of the recipients are returnees from Iran and Pakistan who, he said, have faced serious shelter and basic needs challenges during the rainy days.<\/p>\n
According to him, this amount of aid does not fully meet the widespread needs of the families, and foundations and charitable organizations should provide more support. He added that so far, approximately 40,000 needy and returning families in Kabul have received cash and food aid from institutes and charitable foundations.<\/p>\n
The Head of Return and Integration of Kabul Refugees Directorate also assured transparency in the distribution process; however, criticisms regarding the management of the displaced persons and returnee crisis remain, and some families complain about the lack of sustained support.<\/p>\n
Ebrahim Fazli, administrative officer of the Tawhid Institute, said this program has so far been implemented in 24 provinces across the country and is scheduled to include other provinces in the near future. He noted that economy and refugees departments in the provinces are involved in executing this process.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, some returnees say that one-time aid cannot solve their fundamental problems. According to these families, until a regular employment program and long-term support are established by the Taliban administration and responsible institutions, the livelihood crisis of the returnees will persist.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
