According to them, 137 kilometers of roads were completed and put into operation across different areas of Kabul just last year.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Khalid Sajistani, Deputy of Urban Services and Environmental Protection at Kabul Municipality, presented these statistics during an annual achievements report meeting. He stated that road development and expansion of urban infrastructure are fundamental measures to reduce transportation problems and facilitate residents&#8217; movement within the city.<\/p>\n<p>As the most populous city in the country, Kabul has faced traffic congestion and a lack of standard infrastructure in recent years. However, the municipality has not provided details regarding project costs, implementation quality, or levels of technical supervision\u2014issues whose transparency holds particular importance for the citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Residents of Kabul have consistently demanded the execution of quality projects, better traffic management, and increased accountability from city officials.
