This situation has raised concerns about an increased risk of vaccine-preventable diseases.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to administering overdue vaccinations, UNRWA health teams are assessing the nutritional status of children and referring those in need to specialized centers for further care.<\/p>\n<p>The Gaza Strip is among the areas where prolonged hostilities have severely damaged much of the health infrastructure, making the provision of basic medical services extremely challenging.
