The Taliban’s Ministry of Justice has announced the seizure of 11 jeribs of land belonging to the “Omar Gulistan Town” in the Makrorian 3 area, District 9 of Kabul city. The ministry stated that the process of reviewing the land documents was conducted in the Special Court for Handling Cases of Emiri Land Usurpation in the Central Zone.<\/p>\n
In a statement published on the ministry’s Facebook page on Thursday, March 9, it was noted that the land case had previously been examined by the Commission for Preventing Land Grabbing and Restoring Usurped Lands. According to the Taliban administration, after an initial review, the commission referred the case to the relevant Special Court based on Article 17 of the Law on Preventing Land Grabbing.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Justice added that after reviewing documents, property records, offices, and receiving information from related departments, the Special Court issued a ruling for the seizure of this land. However, no details were provided regarding the previous ownership of the area, the identities of the individuals involved in the dispute, or the possible fate of the residents or investors of this town.<\/p>\n
