France’s Foreign Minister has condemned Israel’s extensive attacks on Lebanese territory, stressing that any ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States must also include Lebanon. He described the attacks as “unbearable and unacceptable” and called for efforts to prevent the escalation of tensions.<\/p>\n
Jean-No\u00ebl Barrot, responding to the intensification of the conflict, said Paris strongly condemns the recent attacks. He stated that any agreement to reduce regional tensions will only be effective if Lebanon’s situation is taken into account.<\/p>\n
French President Emmanuel Macron, a day earlier, described the attacks as “reckless” and warned that continued actions of this kind threaten the recently established ceasefire. After talks with Lebanon\u2019s president and prime minister, Macron expressed his country\u2019s full solidarity with Lebanese officials and emphasized the necessity of preserving Lebanon’s territorial integrity.<\/p>\n
Macron also announced France’s readiness to support Lebanon\u2019s efforts to strengthen national sovereignty, noting that the attacks have caused extensive civilian casualties.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, officials from the United Kingdom and Australia have also called for Lebanon to be included in any ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States. The British Foreign Minister referred to what he called the “devastating escalation” in Lebanon, stating that Lebanon’s name must be included in the deal and that the ceasefire should be extended to cover the country as well.<\/p>\n
In another part of his remarks, he commented on transit through the Strait of Hormuz. Previously, Iranian officials had emphasized that they would seek compensation following damages caused by recent attacks.<\/p>\n
