According to them, these items were discovered and seized during their transfer across the Durand Line border.

According to a statement issued by the corps’ media office, soldiers from the “Ali” battalion, affiliated with the Ubaidah border brigade, identified the shipment around 1 a.m. last night during a patrol in the Ashiza village area of Boldak district, following an intelligence report. During the operation, two million Iranian tomans were also seized.

The battalion commander stated that several individuals intended to smuggle the silver, Iranian currency, and inward camera tripods into Pakistan but were arrested before crossing the border. No further details have been provided about the identities or fate of the detainees.

The Taliban administration has consistently claimed to increase surveillance over the Durand Line and asserts achievements in preventing smuggling. However, the lack of transparent statistics and independent reporting makes it difficult to accurately assess the success of these measures, especially in border areas long challenged by smuggling and instability.

Authorities seized 169 kilograms of silver, Iranian currency, and camera tripods near Bolduk border in Kandahar during an anti-smuggling operation.

[17,5

post-10372","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-security-incidents
["GET
