He stated that these explosive threats continue to endanger the lives of thousands of the country&#8217;s residents.<\/p>\n<p>Nouruddin Turabi, speaking at a program in Kabul, described mines and unexploded ammunition as &#8220;hidden enemies of humanity&#8221; and added that over the past 45 years, numerous citizens, especially children, have been harmed by the detonation of these explosives.<\/p>\n<p>Afghanistan is among the countries heavily contaminated by landmines and leftover munitions due to decades of conflict.
