These agreements aim to enhance coordination and improve service delivery for returnees and internally displaced persons.

According to information released by the ministry, the budget will be allocated across the provinces of Herat, Badghis, and Farah in western Afghanistan. The programs will focus on education, public awareness, holding meetings, providing support services, and the transfer of orphaned children.

It has been reported that 35,312 returnees, internally displaced individuals, and members of host communities will benefit from these initiatives. These western provinces have recently witnessed significant returns of migrants and growing humanitarian needs.

Despite these commitments announced by the Taliban administration, several civil society organizations have consistently emphasized the need for transparency in the use of aid funds and effective oversight of project implementation. Many returning migrants in various areas continue to face serious challenges related to shelter, education, and basic services.
