According to the forecast, rainfall in these areas is expected to range between 10 to 50 millimeters.<\/p>\n<p>The provinces included in this warning are Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, Panjshir, Bamyan, Daikundi, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Logar, Paktia, Khost, Zabul, Uruzgan, Kandahar, Helmand, Nimroz, Herat, Ghor, Farah, Badghis, Balkh, Samangan, Jowzjan, Sar-e Pul, Faryab, Kunduz, Baghlan, Takhar, Badakhshan, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, and Nuristan. Residents of these provinces have been urged to avoid approaching riverbanks and other vulnerable areas and to take precautionary measures following the guidance of provincial disaster management committees.<\/p>\n<p>This warning comes amid recent weeks of widespread flooding across parts of the country that have caused heavy casualties and damage. According to the Taliban\u2019s National Disaster Management Authority, the recent floods have claimed the lives of 99 people and injured more than 154 others.<\/p>\n<p>Official data shows that around six thousand families have been affected, with over 3,600 homes either completely or partially destroyed. Additionally, nearly 11,700 jeribs (approximately 2,340 hectares) of agricultural land have been lost, and 337 kilometers of roadways have been damaged.<\/p>\n<p>In the past 24 hours alone, 11 people have died and 11 others have been injured in the provinces of Kabul, Parwan, Daikundi, Kapisa, Paktia, Paktika, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Zabul, Uruzgan, Kandahar, Herat, Badghis, Ghor, Nimroz, Samangan, Takhar, Badakhshan, Nangarhar, Laghman, and Kunar.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the recurring deadly natural disasters in recent years, residents of several provinces continue to criticize the lack of preventive measures, the absence of an effective early warning system, and slow response to victims.
