Mawlawi Amir Khan Mutaqi, Foreign Minister of the Taliban administration, stated that while negotiations with Pakistan continue under China’s hosting in the city of Urumqi, Kabul’s position is clear: resolve tensions through dialogue, but uphold the legitimate right to defend Afghanistan\u2019s territorial integrity in case of any aggression.<\/p>\n
Speaking at a consultative meeting between Afghanistan and Central Asian countries, Mutaqi emphasized that the Taliban administration has participated in the China-initiated talks with “full sincerity.” According to him, the primary goal of these discussions is to end existing tensions with Pakistan through mutual understanding and respect.<\/p>\n
He added that alongside diplomatic efforts, defending Afghan soil and its people is a legitimate right and will be preserved if any aggression occurs.<\/p>\n
Four days have passed since the start of talks between Afghan and Pakistani representatives in Urumqi, but no official details about the content of the discussions have been released so far.
